2023 Chrysler Pacifica
The Chrysler Pacifica is more than your average minivan. It has a stylish and modern exterior design, a comfortable interior, and all the practical features you want for any ride. This family-friendly minivan offers tons of storage options in all three rows, and it uses a strong V-6 engine and offers a plug-in hybrid powertrain as an option. The Pacifica carries over to the 2023 model year without any significant changes. Here's a look at some of the features and equipment you can get.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
The entry-level Pacifica is the Touring. It comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, power-adjustable and heated side mirrors, a power liftgate, and power-sliding side doors. The Touring L trim adds to this with a panoramic sunroof, Chrysler's Stow 'n Place roof rails, and 18-inch wheels. Step up to the Limited for 18-inch alloy wheels and self-sealing tires. This trim also upgrades to a hands-free power liftgate and hands-free power-sliding side doors. The top-level Pinnacle comes with 20-inch alloy wheels and upgraded exterior trim elements.
Engine (Power)
Gas-powered Pacifica models use a 3.6-liter V-6 engine that puts out 287 horsepower. It sends power to the front wheels by way of a nine-speed automatic transmission, but all-wheel drive is available as an option for all trim levels. The plug-in hybrid uses the same V-6 but with some modifications and an electric motor. These combine to generate 260 horsepower. This powertrain works with a continuously variable automatic transmission.
Performance
Either of these powertrains provides the Pacifica with plenty of power for everyday driving around town and passing on the highway. The plug-in hybrid will get up to 32 miles of pure electric driving range before the gas engine kicks in to help achieve its 30 mpg fuel economy. With the gas engine under its hood, the Pacifica will go from zero to 60 in 7.3 seconds. With the hybrid powertrain, it takes about 7.8 seconds.
Interior
There's plenty of space in all three of the Pacifica's rows. The Touring has cloth upholstery, a heated steering wheel, and heated front seats. Simulated leather upholstery comes in the Touring L, and the Limited adds extras such as ventilated front seats and a power-folding third row. A 10.1-inch touchscreen comes standard along with the Uconnect 5 infotainment system with a wireless version of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Satellite radio is another standard tech feature, and all trims have Amazon Alexa. A rear seat entertainment system with two 10.1-inch displays comes in the Pinnacle.
Safety Features
Every 2023 Chrysler Pacifica comes with a long list of advanced driver aids. It includes adaptive cruise control, a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, forward collision warning with automatic braking, pedestrian detection, and lane-departure warning with mitigation. It also comes standard with rear parking sensors. The Touring L adds to this list with a 360-degree surround-view camera system, front and rear parking sensors with an automated braking system, and an automated parking system that will steer the Pacifica into a parallel or perpendicular parking spot.
