Trim Levels (Exterior)
With a massive eight different trim levels available, there's no shortage of options and unique exterior features available for your ideal Challenger. The base SXT Challenger is already enticing with features like 18-inch alloy wheels and heated power side mirrors. Meanwhile, the GT trim offers a performance hood with a functional hood scoop and 20-inch wheels. The R/T pushes this further with an active stainless steel performance exhaust.
At the R/T Scat trim level, you'll find HID headlights with the Air Catcher system in the driver's side headlight. With the SRT Hellcat, you can enjoy a dual-snorkel hood with a performance satin-black rear spoiler. At the SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody level, you'll find mostly performance upgrades, while the Jailbreak trim boasts unique colors. The SRT Super Stock features lightweight 18-inch alloy wheels and Nitto drag radial tires for enhanced performance and style.
Engine (Power)
Under the hood of the Challenger, you'll find four different engine options and five different outputs, depending on which trim you opt for. The base engine is a 3.6-liter V-6 that produces 303 horsepower and 268 pound-feet of torque. If that's not enough, the optional 5.7-liter V-8 can offer 375 horsepower with 410 pound-feet of torque. The 6.4-liter V-8, on the other hand, produces 484 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque. Finally, the 6.2-liter supercharged V-8 offers 717 horsepower and 656 pound-feet of torque or, at the top trim, 807 horsepower and 707 pound-feet of torque.
Performance
The Challenger was built for performance right from the start with high-end features like Brembo brakes and adaptive damping. The Bilstein adaptive damping system works by allowing for three driving modes including normal, sport, and track. Launch assist and launch control are also available, allowing you to get going fast by holding engine rpm at optimal levels. Plus, the available hood scoop increases airflow to keep the engine cool.
Interior
Inside the Challenger, you'll find an inviting interior with fun features you may not expect from a performance-oriented vehicle. It offers 33.1 inches of legroom in the back and 42 inches of legroom in the front. Plus, the trunk can hold 16.2 cubic feet of cargo, which is more than just about every other muscle car. It also comes with the Uconnect infotainment system complete with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Safety Features
Several safety features are available with the Challenger that let you make the most of all the power under the hood with peace of mind. Available features include automatic high beams, adaptive cruise control, and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert.
